In Support of Damon Fowler

Greetings, Damon, from the buckle of the bible belt!

First of all, I salute the courage that you have displayed. You have earned the respect and admiration of thousands and thousands of people all over the world. Many wish they had your courage at your age, and there can be no doubt but that many will be inspired by your example.

By now, I'm sure you have heard or read this hundreds of times, but it bears repeating:
IT GETS BETTER.

There is a vast and beautiful world beyond the narrow-minded confines of Bastrop, LA.
A world that is vastly more tolerant of people like you, me and the rest of us non-believers who constitute as much as 1/5th of the American population.

By now, you are no doubt aware that a scholarship fund has been set up for you by Hemant Mehta at his Friendly Atheist blog.

That should give you a jump-start for your future college plans.

I hope you're not upset when I say that I almost feel sorry for the fools that infringed upon your rights.Because if I understand the law correctly, they just bought themselves a major lawsuit. A lawsuit they can't win. And they're going to have to justify to the good people of Bastrop why they wasted the taxpayers money by opening up the school district to a legal battle they just can't win.

You may be wondering, How did it all come to this?
I'll tell you why, young warrior.
Because like most criminals, they thought they could get away with it.
And like most criminals, they're going to find out that they can't.

Stay Strong.Stay Safe.
